Madrid and the horse carnivore.
In the heart of Madrid, Plaza Mayor, we found a bronze equestrian statue of Felipe III.
Legend has it that during the Second Republic, someone launched a rocket that damaged the statue, and had to remodel. And in the reconstruction, it was discovered that there were millions of little bones of a bird inside the horse.
Like all metal statue, that of Philip III is made from a mold, and inside is hollow. The sparrows of Madrid, to rest and keep the wind and rain, sat on the horse's mouth, I feel this a death trap as louego could not leave.
After the Civil War, the statue was renovated, thus closing the deadly horse's mouth.
