The Madrid Card allows visiting the capital without worrying about the price of tickets for more relevant museums, palaces and monuments. This is the most convenient way to travel, since it does not require carrying money to make payments related to tourist visits.

Along with the Madrid Card, visitors will receive a map and a tour guide, with information on all the companies and institutions associated with the product Madrid Card, with a brief description, address, phone and opening times, and if information on the discounts offered. In addition, the guide and the map will allow the visitor to find the main points of tourist attraction, which facilitates the task at the time to schedule a trip altogether.

The card includes not only the entrance to museums, but also the holder may travel as much as he wants on the bus Madrid Vision. The ideal complement to the Madrid Card is the Tourist Travel Pass, which is not included in the price of the card. It allows to make use of public transport in Madrid and for unlimited travel on the subway, bus and suburban network and can be purchased at any subway station.

Madrid Card offers different categories to suit the needs of each tourist. So you can buy the card for 24, 48 or 72 hours, while start counting from the time of its activation. To activate the card it should be introduced for the first time in the electronic validation terminals, which are at the providers of services associated with the Madrid Card programme. The owner must register his name and the date he starts to use it on the back of the card, and keep it at the disposal of any Museum, Palace, Monument or establishment of the project.

The card entitles you to visit the permanent collection of museums and monuments once; temporary exhibitions are not always included in the price. It is advisable to ensure that the day when we want to visit them, they are not closed for any reason, as well as checking the schedule during the summer season (between June 21 and September 21).

To take advantage of discounts in shops and other outlets, cardholders should bear in mind that discounts are applicable regardless of the form of payment -in cash or by credit card-, but are not transferable to other offers.
